Dr. Anthony J. Emmett was a reconstructive plastic surgeon who worked for many years repairing children with congenital deformities in Queensland, New Zealand, England and Brisbane. He also reconstructed adults and became interested in the way the subconscious level of thinking guides our choices in life. He saw the self-image held in the unconscious levels of mind influencing his patients. He produced lectures, surgical journal articles and books on the surgery of repair, aspects of reconstruction after removal of skin cancers. He had written on skin cancers with medical books and general-public books, and was on the Editorial Board of The Australian and New Zealand Journal of Surgery. He had been made Clinical Professor of Surgery in Brisbane in the years there teaching medical students.

Emmett because, in the past two years, my sister has advocated the argument that this lifetime is only one of many, and through her hypnosis work, I have come to understand more of what she means by this; Dr. Emmett goes even deeper in his book. I was a skeptic but have found that there is enough information available, particularly in works such as these, that makes what I now believe to be the truth difficult to ignore. The standout of Dr. Emmett's book is where he discusses vibrational frequencies as a determinant of one's placement in different dimensions or realms after death. He references Mike Swain's insights to explain how ascending in the spirit world involves increasing vibrational frequencies and accessing higher realms as one progresses in spiritual growth and understanding. The topics are complex, and Dr. Emmett's explanations are extensive, but I think readers will find that the style of writing makes it completely accessible and will appreciate what he has to say. Very highly recommended.

Emmett. It is then followed by “This is an invitation to look further … into the invisible world of consciousness.” Indeed, the topic of consciousness is worth looking into because according to Dr. Emmett, it is an eternal part of us. Within the topic of consciousness, Your Unique Consciousness covers many sub-topics. Some are directly related to consciousness, like the subconscious, and the power of consciousness. Some are related to the physical body like birth and death, and some are spiritual, like God and the soul. Your Unique Consciousness also discusses the work of some masters, like Paramahansa Yogananda and Sri Aurobindo. There is also an entire chapter on Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. In Your Unique Consciousness: The Eternal Path of Life by Dr. Anthony J. Emmett, there are many references to Sai Baba. Can you imagine how I felt when I read the references and the chapter on Sai Baba? I was completely in awe because I too had visited Sai Baba, and after my visits, I wrote two books on Sai Baba. In addition to the chapter on Sai Baba, I also liked Chapter 5 which covers Reincarnation and Past Lives and Spirituality and Science. Your Unique Consciousness is well written and gives a good account of the spiritual dimension while we live with our physical bodies on Earth. This book is well worth a read.

Emmett explains how the world of human consciousness is much more profound and extensive than what we see in ourselves every day. The inner and outer consciousness and subconsciousness grow in different ways but are still connected on many levels. The way we grow, learn, and understand the people, places, and things we are exposed to dictate how we will perceive the world we live in and how we will respond to it in life and in death. All human beings discover and understand things in different ways, which makes our subconscious and consciousness just as unique and individual as our physical fingerprints. Your Unique Consciousness dives deep into the everlasting wonder of what lies beyond humanity’s existence even after we have passed on from physicality. I love the way this book amplifies the reality of the energy that works with our bodies and the world around us and identifies consciousness as the meaning of life. The way Dr. Anthony J. Emmett breaks down the unique nature of the human consciousness through personal growth and experience had me captivated. I truly enjoyed learning about what humanity, life, and eternity share from this bold and scientific angle.
